Jacquese Armstrong Award Winning Author & Poet!@ The Women’s Wellbeing Workshop Presented by IOBP & The River Wellness

Jacquese Armstrong, author of Birthing Yourself Naturally: Motivational Reflections on a Mental Health Journey (2022) and Blues Legacy (Broadside Lotus Press, 2019), was the recipient of the 2019 Naomi Long Madgett Poetry Award and 2015 Ambassador Award from the State of New Jersey Governor’s Council on Mental Health Stigma for promoting wellness and recovery and reducing stigma through the arts. Jacquese is a Black Fire—This Time Anthology Summer Fellow. She has been a cast member of TMI Project’s storytelling performances Black Stories Matter: Every Word Spoken and Alone Together stories of COVID-19 in quarantine. Her work has been published in midnight & indigo, Ourselves Black, Stellium and others.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR: J’NAY S. DOMINECK

J’Nay S. Domineck is an advocate for education and loves the field of agriculture. She is passionate about increasing early literacy skills for youth and enjoys teaching youth about the world around them. In 2021, J’Nay merged her passions of a love for conservation and a love for kids with the creation of J. Domineck’s Agricultural Literacy Foundation.

J’Nay has worked in the field of agriculture for over seven years. Throughout her career, she has educated farmers, producers, and landowners about their land and farming operations, and she also loves exposing youth to agriculture at field days and community-based outreach events.

J’Nay earned a Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Agriculture with a focus in Agribusiness, and a Master of Science in Agricultural Economics. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated and is a proud mother.
